-------------------- Hi Volks, The digijet ecus have ground pins 6 and 7 common. They are soldered to the same land pattern on the printed circuit board. Pin 6 also has a wire going to the heat sick and is attached to it with a screw. These connectors and heat sink are internal to the ecu. I mention this because some digijets vans 83.5-85 seem to run ok with the ecu laying on top of the engine and others will not run so good especially at higher rpm. The ecu cable connects pin 7 to the left cylinder head. The ecu when properly mounted has three screws attached to it. The bottom one provides a ground from the heat sink to van frame. If you experience strange problems, rough , stumbles, ucking be sure to check these grounds. The hardware that suspends the ecu seems to lack qualities that provide for a good quality ground . If you experience problems it may be advantageous to add a quality ground from the engine to the ecu lower mounting hole. This later ground addition is the idea of fellow listee Jim Maginel who has been a great help installing and testing ecus and digitools on his 85.

Darrell
