Hi to every one, My name is Chris and I am a Canadian living in Norway. This is my first water cooled VW so this is an interesting event for me. I have a new long block coming up from Holland which I will pick up in Oslo and bring it back to Oppdal 104 km south of Trondheim.

I purchased the Caravelle C from my brother inlaw who drove it for a little over 120,000 and blew the motor (actually I did) So I bought it for 15,000 Norsk Kroner (1Cdn dollar = 5 Norsk Kroner) I felt obligated.

I will take out the motor this week-end has anybody pointers on how to do his? I also have looked all over the Internet for a manual to help with the work but no luck. There seems to be very little info on TD's over 86 I am sure I will be proven wrong now.

Has anybody tried tweaking the TD 1.6 to get a little more out of it? What about an intercooler has anybody tried it.

I have many more questions but I will wait for some informed answers Thanks to all who can help

Chris.....Norway
