There are VERY FEW tires suitable for the Vanagon, among the few I found:

Yokohama Y356 LT195/75R14 "D" Dunlop SP LT5 185R14 "C" or "D" Michelin LTX M/S 195/75R14 "C" Bridgestone Dueller A/T LT195/75R14 "C" Michelin MXT 205/70R14 Reinforced

The main limitation seems to be that they MUST take at least 40psi pressure (possibly more for a camper). Most so-called 'light-truck' tires can only take 35psi. You can get the Yokohamas for $58 by mailorder from Tirerack, but you will have to pay shipping and installation. When you are looking at cost, look also at the treadwear rating, some of the cheap tires will not last anywhere near as long as the more expensive ones. You get what you pay for.
