I just wanted to add a quick note. I'm a VW shop foreman and at my dealer we sell and service Mazda and Subaru also. Every time I walk by the Mazda and Subaru shop I always see an engine or trans apart in both the Subaru and Mazda shop. The VW shop does maybe two major engine repairs a year, and about one major trans job every two months. We are the number on selling VW dealer in the Northwest. Last month we sold 150 new VW's. I'm constantly making fun at the Mazda and Subaru tech's. They are always looking for the engine hoist and the tranny jack. I'll stick with VW and keep repairing the electrical problems. See ya.
