Plenty of torque all the way from 1500 rpm on up to 6000 or whenever you run out of air/fuel. Was a teriffic car racing solo 2. Where the piston cars had to use 3 gears, I only used 2. And I took first place in all three clubs I raced in! In normal driving my shift point was 2000 rpm ( most drivers make the mistake of reving it higher ), in racing I kept it above 2000, usually below 5500, but if you forgot to shift it wouldn't hurt anything.
