that was it! thanks!! it brings to mind something else that happened a few years ago. living in the central coast of california we dont use a/c very often, once it was a scorching 89 degrees, so what the heck, ill just turn on the a/c, the engine just raced i thought i was really in trouble then i turned off the a/c everything back to normal. havent used it or missed it since. thanks again. gregory
