Greetings all. My van doesn't start as well as it use to when it is hot. Sometimes it fires up as soon as you turn the key, but mostly it cranks about 3 times now. Until recently it always fired on the first crank. If I switch the ignition on, hear the pump, turn it off and then crank it over, it fires right away. It feels like not enough fuel. Have checked the volume of the pump, 30 seconds in a container. Is as the Bently specifies. I,m wondering if my system loses pressure when it is hot, or a carbon buildup absorbing fuel at startup. Anybody had similar symptoms? Any info would be appreciated. R.Feuerriegel 88 syncro

R.Feuerriegel-

Although the symptoms you describe sound a little like vapor lock, I would doubt that vapor lock is the problem. Sounds more like cruddy fuel injectors. If you haven't already done so, run one bottle of Techron Fuel injector cleaner through in two successive tanks of fuel, (total of two bottles). If this doesn't fix it, sell your Syncro to me for a very low price, and I will take over worrying about this problem for you.
