actually, i posed just this question to martin schneider at msds and he was abrupt in his reply. he told me that that was my problem to figure out how to heat the vanagon! i asked if msds was working on a solution and he said that he was too busy......did not give me a lot of confidence in the msds conversion. btw, other than the engine as a unit, i never found 911 parts to be all that expensive compared to wasserboxer parts. having owned close to a dozen porsches, they were all cheaper to own than what most of you experience w/ the vanagon.
