The Vanagon FAQ (http://www.vanagon.com/info/faq/) lists the height of a Westfalia at 6'9", or 81". A standard U.S. syncro is 2.5" taller, or 83.5", making the answer an unfortunate 'no'.

IMHO, it's a little steep for that many miles.
