Greetings!

THis is my fist posting to the list though I've been reading the archives for
a few weeks.

Just bought a 80 Vanagon Camper (not a Westy) after 8 years w/o a Bus.  My
first "car" was a 66 VW with double doors both sides, then a 72 and last a 73.
 8 Year later and I'm back in the saddle.  


Here are my first things I would like to defer to the list folks for help!

1) Shifter - wore rods - have to push down to get into first and second (like
reverse) - VW dealer says the part I need (751 711 155) is no longer
available.  Anyone out there with spare linkage parts?

2) Exhaust - The previous owner took off the EGR connector from the corssover
pipe, I guess it was plugged (where the elbow is between the Cat and the
Muffler) and da plug done popped.  Of course, the crossover pipe is no longer
availabe via VW either.  Again, anyone wanting to part with an exhaust system
for my 2 liter, or recommedations/comments on how this was rigged would be
appreciated.

I'm in Connecticut, will travel far and wide for parts - just like the old
days <g>.....
