There is a US-spec Vanagon Westy, I think it is a 88+ here in Arendal, and it has both tail light and brake light in the lower outer quadrant, beneath the turn light. The euro models have tailight behind the reflector, brake lght beneath the turn light, and fog light on the big inner unit. I've rewired my taillights to get a different look, and more lighted area, I have tailight in both lamps beneath turn- and backup lights, with brake lights in the fog units. PerL 88 Caravelle Syncro
