If you can buy and rebuild a 1991 syncro westfalia for $30,000, which you can, you're getting a good buy relative to what else is on the market. A new vehicle like this would start at about $40,000 to $45,000, but you can't even get one. The value is in the function, utility and availability of the vehicle.
