Here I was, safe from the junk porn mailing list. I kept my mail box clean, clean, clean, after learning from experience, that if you go for one second on a porn web, that cookie they have will send more porn stuff in your mail box than you care to have. So what happen?, I signed on to be a Vanagon subscriber and pow the porn junk mail is coming in? Now I love a little boom boom, and I have nothing against porn and free speech. But I kind wanit when I wanit. And not some dude throwing crap in my mail box. Has anyone got the same problem? DAN >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dan-

Having just switched from AOL to a smaller ISP, I have found that I don't receive anywhere near the SPAM (porn or otherwise) as on AOL. From my understanding, AOL addresses are very tempting to SPAMmers because with one message, they can reach millions of mailboxes. I think my ISP handles a couple thousand folks, mostly businesses.

I doubt the Vanagon list is the origin of your cheesecake photo SPAM. If you want some info on fighting SPAM in general, and specifically to your mailbox, check out:
