I share Johns opinion. I'm using mostly the cotton stuff, and when it
breaks it is because the rubber becomes fragile and cracks, allowing
small leaks. The cotton braids prevents complete rupture. The cotton
braids that have broken for me have always been over 10 years old.

Again, check that what you buy is actually for your application.
Simply asking for fuel line doesn't cut it. Rubber formulations are
often different for Diesel and gas versions.
