I have also this problem on my 88 Syncro, but it seemed to disappear when I installed my stereo :-) Really, it was noisy when I bought the van, but I have not heard it lately. If it is because of the stereo, I don't know, it might be that I just don't take notice of it any more. This used to happen in speeds over 80 kmh (50 mph)
