The early water key can be made up by a locksmith. The keys are not all alike so you need one for your particular lock. I have had this done a couple of times. You must remove the lock assembly and take it in. This is done by removing the screws that hold the outside access door to the body. Then pull it away from the van, loosen the hose clamps and disconnect the hoses. Bend the metal tab away from the nut and remove the nut holding the lock striker. The water filler plug and lock will then come out of the door assembly. Take it to a real locksmith and they will make a key for it. It may take a day or 2 if they don't stock the rather obscure blank. I think I paid about $15 the last time including 2 keys.
