You buy prepaid "cell phone cards" in 60 minute denominations for C$25 (US$16). They can be used on any cell phone whether it has service to it or not. The cards are valid indefinately but once activated are good for only 60 days. The prepaid time includes any long distance charges anywhere in North America. You can only call outbound unless you pay C$48 which activates a number for you for one year. You can get more info at http://www.cantel.com/
