I just wanted to share my experiences with getting my fridge working in my newly purchased '89 Westy, and say thank you to everyone who has thrown out information about getting that darn fridge running on LP. I first tried all the various pumping techniques that I read about, on the list and in the archives. This didn't do it. I then uncapped the metal drain tube, and blew and sucked, and that didn't work. Next, I hooked up the 5 HP shop-vac and blew and sucked on it, still didn't work. I've now resorted to the fact that I'm probably going to have to pull the whole stinkin' fridge out to get it cleaned up. However, someone posted yesterday (sorry, I can't remember who), and said that if they have problems getting it running, they run it on electricity first, for about an hour, then try the gas. I proceeded to do this last night, and that did the trick. She was glowing green, nice and bright. I'm one happy camper! Thanks to everyone who makes this list so valuable.
