Here is some savvy advice from fellow list member Harry Yates. This remedy worked beautifully for me. If the moldy patches are large enough you may want to use a larger brush. Here is Harry's advice: <Charles, for mold control, use 1/2 teaspoon liquid bleach to 1/2 litre of water. I apply with a toothbrush, wait 5 minutes, and then rinse with water. Don't get area wetter than you have to. Chamois most of the surface dry, and then let properly dry using heat if necessary. We have a Miata that we use this method on every year to keep things under control in our wet climate on the "wet coast".

Your approach to use the crystals to absorb water is excactly how we store our Westy. It works! We use a Dry-Z-Air in the van between trips and over winter.

Hope this helps Harry.>
