I am continually surprised by the responses some postings receive on this list.

I am not interested in lectures about how a few list members think I should live my life.

I am interested in learning as much as I can about how to keep my van running.

As for myself carried many small parts and a full toolbox with me for the 5 years I owned my 84 Westy. Every time I replaced an old or wearing part with a new one I would keep the old one in my van as a backup. It did not prove to be too much.

More importantly, I have been blessed by the helping hands of other people many times and try always to return the favors that have added up over my life time. More than once my old warn parts have helped fellow bus owners make it to next town or even all the way home.
