Vanagoners,

I think I'm paranoid. I sent a message yesterday regarding helicoil installation and have yet to recieve a response. This may be due to our new mail system or lack of interest in the subject. If the message did not get out yeesterday what I need is the protocol that was once on the website for installation. If it is still there I need to get to it some how; if it is not there then could someome forward it to me. Thanks

John--

I saw your message, yesterday, but I was not sure what you meant by "protocol", so I did nothing. Here are my guesses:

If, by "protocol", you mean "instructions", HeliCoil inserts (if I recall correctly) come with an exhaustive instruction sheet.

If by "protocol", you mean, "how do I choose the right size?" again, the HeliCoil display has an exhaustive chart/reference guide. If it still is not clear, the place that sells them (machine shops, etc.) usually have a helpful Joe (or Jo) to help.

If by "protocol", you mean "customs, clothing, and regulations to do with a ceremony or activity", I usually wear military surplus green coveralls, safety goggles, and an old ball cap. I start on most tasks on a Saturday morning. I lay out my tools, a few clean rags, and a large plastic cup of Kool-Aid. I turn on the radio, and (if it is cold out) the heater in the workshop. If the job takes awhile, my wife will usually make a sandwich, to keep me from coming in the house while I am grimy. When I am finished, I clean everything up, and turn off the light. :)

Hope this helps.
