Rob and Matthew express my thinking very well.  Of course preventive
maintenance relies on good manuals and knowledge of the vehicle.  This is
why this list is so incredibly valuable.


BTW, total operating cost of Smoky is $C 0.27 per mile or 0.17 per km.  I
get 30 mp imperial gals, turn 3000 rpm at 60 mph and pull 10 inches of
vacuum at that speed straight and level.  Using List references as a
baseline I think this engine is performing well.
