What about Slick50 for gearboxes? Anyone tried this? Was looking at it tonight at the FLAPS. It's not an additive. They recommend filling it full strength.

I've used a Slick 50 for Manual transmissions additive (about a 12 oz bottle for $6.00) in a couple of 091 transmission and it *seemed* to improve shifting speed and ease. It was not a significant improvement, but certainly $6.00 worth.

I also used the same product, when, on a cross-country trip with five folks in the van, the first/second gear (syncro, I guess) stopped engaging; we were left with only 3rd/4th. The Slick 50 additive "fixed" the problem enough that we were able to get it into first/second a couple dozen times, and get home.
