Subject: Bucking - 84 Camper - ?

As a brand-new list member I'd like to run a problem by y'all for advice. My 84 camper is no longer going on adventures because of a new problem which renders her unreliable.

After driving for awhile (engine at full temperature...50% deflection of water temp arrow) engine will cut-out for just a fraction of a second (bucking sensation). This occurs intermittently but repeatedly. Doesn't even last long enough for the tachometer to register it. I tried driving on the highway for almost an hour this weekend and the van never actually died, just bucked 20 or more times.

I looked at the archives on this. I installed a new AFM. I installed the capacitor in the AFM wiring harness. I have not yet re-soldered the ECU.

Are there any new takes on this out there? Should I remove the ECU and heat up the solder joints?? TIA. ********************************************************************** Scott Walker New Cumberland, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania USA N3SW@worldnet.att.net **********************************************************************
