Hi there. I live in a town called Arendal, which is located on the southern coast of Norway, which is in northern Europe (look it up). I am almost 25 years of age, and I work as a security guard in Norway's, and Europe's largest Security company, Securitas. I, as well as my two brothers have always been VW-enthusiasts, as our parents drove a 1964 1500 Variant when we were growing up, some thing that must have affected us bigtime. This car was way cool, as it was a full station wagon, but had panels tacked in in place of the windows, not flush, but on the edge where the seals rests. My father had these removed, and windows mounted when he bought it in 1966. The current VW status in my family is as follows: My mother drives a 1994 Vento 1,8 CL (known in the US as Jetta III), My oldest big brother drives a 1987 Passat 1,8 GL Variant (Quantum Wagon), his Father-in-law a 1994 Golf GTI, my youngest big brother has a 1996 Golf 1,6 GL Variant, my little sister drives a 1982 Golf 1,6 Diesel, my uncle, who is a plumber, relies on a 1995 Transporter 2,4D lwb to carry all his parts and tools every day, my cousin has a 1985 Audi 80 1,8 (4000) [almost VW...], and I personally drive a 1988 Caravelle camper Syncro (not a Westy)on a daily basis, while I have a 1973 1600 Variant (SQB) and a 1968 1300 Bug going through a VERY slow resto. I wont even bother to mention all the VWs the family has owned over the years.

PerL
