Ken,

Here's what I did:

Warmed the vehicle up. Pulled all the plugs. Disconnected the low voltage connector and the HT lead from the distributor, Had my SO )and assistant shade tree mech) crank the engine with the accelerator floored (opened up the throttle fully) Cranked engine until compression gauge stoped climbing (about three seconds). Released pressure and repeated for each cylinder. Didn't do any "leak down" type of thing.

Would like to think I did it wrong so maybe it's not shot but...
