Subject: AW: 16" tires -- spelling errors

16" tires i´m still driving with goodyear 185x14C tires on my vanagon which have a typical truck tread and are really dangerous when it is wet. After i´ve driven with a friends bus with 16" tires i decided to have them on my vanagon too. i bought 4 used 8x16" Penta rims for about 250 $ from a Mercedes Benz owner. my local tire dealer offered me a set of used Dunlop 225/55-16 SP600, for about 150 $. they have the right load index of 100 and they have a tread and a rubber mixture which seems to be suitable for all year in our nick of the woods. they were mounted as standard equipment on Mercedes Benz S- or SL-class. This setup will be positively examined by TÜV (german authority for safety of vehicles). The biggest problem i expect could be the deviation of the speedometer, which could be calibrated by VDO speedo service.

spelling errors you´ve got nothing else to do? but who wants to correct me, please send me a note to my mailadress. i think there are already too much useless mails on the list.

greetings michael
