Hi David, Hi to a fellow New Yorker. I grew up in NY, the Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island. I Went to public schools and college in NY, and also got drafted at Whitehall. I also have a 87 Syncro Camper GL, I flushed my system a few months ago. Followed the directions in removing the drain plug from under the engine, which was not easy and to much work to get to the damn plug. Opened the bleed value in the engine and the radiator, opened all heaters, and flushed and filled. This was not as easy as your basic car and radiator flushes. If you or anyone find an easy way like installing a tee somewhere please let me know. Good luck flushing. Dan 87 Syncro 71 Bug Conv 90 Jeep

I was planning on draining and flushing my coolant system, today. Anyway, the drain plugs on the engine block as pictured in my Bentley and Haynes appears to be behind some rock guards which are bolted to the exhaust>>
