List folks:

A big thanks to everyone to responded to my query (about a month ago) regarding my non-starting van: Joel, Wil, Kit, Rick, Clifford, Route87, and anyone who may not have replied to my personal e-mail address. Dela is on the road again after another simple yet satisfying DIY experience...

I was getting bored driving the Jetta around (it's just so darn perky), so I pull out the WD40 and a rag, disconnect the neg terminal on the battery, clean the electrical connections on the Van's starter solenoid, reconnect, and-- vroom, there she goes.

The lesson for other nervous DIYers is: Don't assume the worst, as I did. Trust your WD40, as I did. Get your hands dirty, do the simple stuff, and enjoy the (at least) $50 you saved-- which is what a pro would have charged!
