Now I'm not sure I like it either but from my exp. it has been noted that any would be thief already knows how to break a window (which is done if they are not smart enough to enter otherwise). In past exp I've generally left my doors unlocked for they can have my stock non-workin radio and the radios that cost$$ were all removable ( best prevention) . The one time that a radio was stolen was a rabbit 2dr that was unlocked (doors&hatch) but thieves broke drvr side door window and drug a homemade box (plywood, heavy, not high quality) through the car and back out the broken window. they never opened the door (red paint from box on sill) even though the hatch was unlocked ( 2sec ) . Moral is VW's are one of the most prone for their inherant weaknesses

Now that we have recently had a thread giving our exact locations any would-be thief would really think he has struck it lucky!
