Hi folks -- Has anyone attempted to replace the plastic (or metal maybe?) silver s-shaped strips that are attached to the bottom of the sliding windows? I've reviewed many conversations in the archives about problems with sliding windows not locking, but they've all seemed to be about the furry little strip that holds the windows away from the inside of the window channel. The silver strips on two of my van windows (right sides in each case, go figure...) have worn down on the bottom from the friction of scraping along the aluminum window channel and no longer hold the sliding window high enough in the fixed frame for the latch to engage.

Anyone got a VW part number or a source for replacements?

Gary
