Hello to All from Denver, CO


I drive an 88 Wolfsburg edition weekender model vanagon.  It currently has a
bit less than 140,000 miles and I have owned it since it had 55,000.  Over
the time that I have driven this bus, it has averaged about 25 m.p.g., for
combined city and highway driving (I have not attempted to make a
distinction).  I typically do not exceed 60 m.p.h. (by choice, not
mechanical limitation).  My worst mileage is during the winter months when,
in Denver, we are required to use gasoline with MTBE added.  Then the
mileage is around 21 m.p.g.
