I went surfing today (the waves were big) and saw that the Old Volks Home has updated their web site with new wasserleaker stuff. The pictures with the breakdown of parts is better than any books that I have. I didn't know that there were that many differences in the alternator on the Vanagon for 83.5-91. Anyone know why the only years the RFI shield for the distributor cap was only used between 83.5-85? What happened in 86? Interference go away??? There is also not one on my 82. Did VW go overboard on this? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bill '85 GL [*Magic*Bus*] '82 Westy [FreeBird] ...cause I'm as free as a bird now...
