There might be a possibility that "burping" a westy fridge could be damaging. After years of use, small particles ( like scale, corrosion, etc.) might collect at the bottom. That would be the boiler, I guess. If one turns the fridge upside down "burping" it, those particles become shaken up, and could create a blockage on their way back down. That is what sometimes kills the big refrigerators if one transports them on their side. Anyway that is what I have been told by some specialist. Harald 90 westfalia. |
