Subject: Noisy KYB shocks?
Comments: To: Vanagon@vanagon.com

Hi listees,

I recently installed a set of KYB shocks from one of the list vendors on my '90 vanagon. Ok, I installed the rear ones and paid a mech to do the fronts. Anyway, the ride is firm (expected), the handling is great, but the bumps are excessively noisy now. I figured they were new and would break in, but it's been 6 weeks now. When I hit bumps or potholes it almost sounds like loose lumber in the back of a pickup. Sound comes from the front on both sides.

Any ideas?

btw, Why do they call them Gas-Adjust when there is nothing to adjust?

Thanks, Vernon
