Subject: Long Strange Trip...

Looks like this Friday, I'll be flying up to NB, Canada to pick up my new Van, a 1985 Vanagon Crew Cab. I'll be driving it back to the Washington, DC area via I-95 South. It should take me about 19 hours. I expect to spend Friday night in Southern Maine, and finish the trip on Saturday.

Is there anybody willing to share their address/phone numbers with me, should I break down and find myself in dire straights? I'm a pretty self sufficient guy, so the phone would only ring if there was a *major* problem. How about hints on the best way to go around NYC on a Sat? I have conflicting opinions about the Merritt Pkwy/Tappan Zee bridge vs slugging it out on I-95 to get to the Jersey Turnpike...

Thanks! TomC tcarrington@relitech.com http://www.relitech.com/tomc/tomvw.htm
