My 87 Vanagon is the first watercooler for me and I had no idea that it was a weekender. I've got the upholstered padding in the back (yea!!.....(smile)...............I also think that the information that was given was pertenant (as far as I'm concerned). Not everyone on this list is an expert and I for one believe the list to be very valuable. All of us have a common bond and that is our Volkswagons lets show each other some common respect and use our manners. If you know something that has been stated is not true, then just politely correct those of us whom are still learning.

So the point is this list is getting less and > less valuble. Lets all try to keep the toppics and answers to > known FACT! This way we will be less overwelmed by useless writings. Well, since I have only owned one Vanagon, how would I know that I had the only one with a certain feature. I think the answer was given from someone's perspective and that is fine. There isn't anyone here being misleading on purpose, so don't make the assumption that such information is no longer valuable. If my rear seat folded down that way, I would consider it a known fact, and would rather not be berated for making the statement. Just IMHO, John 81 Vanagon in West Valley City, Utah USA
