I dont know if the 4000 and 5000 use the same tranny's, but my Haynes manual for the Audi 80 1979-86 (Haynes #605) suggests these trannys: 014/1: four cyl, four speed except UK GLE models 014/11: four cyl, four speed, UK GLE models 013: four cyl, five speed 093: five cyl, five speed 089: four cyl, three speed auto 087: five cyl, three speed auto

I wouldnt know if these numbers will be of any help, I thought it could be useful.
