Listees,

I read in the archives the correspondence between Kyle, Derek, Dennis, Steven and John about GL-4 vs GL-5 gear oil. I went out to the Pep Boys (is that Larry, Moe and Curly?) to get some GL-5 for my Syncro front diff.

Well, there's Sta-Lube 85w140 GL-5, and Sta-Lube 80w90 GL-5. Can anybody help me with this? Which should I use?

I don't feel like paying for Red Line stuff because if my VC is bad, it'll just get dumped with the old diff. Is Sta-Lube OK?

Thanks.

John Welsh, San Diego 87 Syncro Westfalia GL 81 Triumph TR8
