I had to get a "Letter of conformance" from VW that this vehicle met all US EPA emission standards and DOT safety standards fir that year. According to my letter, I'm OK unless I tried to register in California, as it does not meet CARB specs.

I'l be posting all the stuff I have done once I am successfully back in the US.
