Subject: Slow Syncro Braking Noise

Ladies and Gentlemen of the List,

I have a clanging, almost clicking, but more of a thumping than that, noise from the rear end when I come to a gentle stop. Starts and stops with the application of the brakes. Since that's where the transaxle is, it could be in there or maybe from both wheels in stereo, but sounds centered. It sounds like about one cycle of 2 or 3 clangs per revolution of the 14" wheels. Any thoughts?

Brakes also have a little bit of the bobbing syndrome. Hans in Staten Island said the bobbing was the front rotors needing turning.

Thanks, -- David Bogle
