TBill - We just need to encourage our northern most neighbors to keep up the good fight! After looking at a few Web Sites on Canadian law, I wouldn't be surprised to find that their masters had outlawed any VW Vans beyond 5 years of age! Now that we in Tennessee have permanently moved Algore back to Washington, we've been involved in tossing out such radicals via voting.

One of my clients headed up to Canada last winter on a hunting trip. At the border, he & his companions had to fill out all sorts of forms to bring their hunting rifles into the country, including having photographs of their weapons & themselves made. They were told by the Canadian gestapo that they had to return to the US via the SAME border office and that they were to keep their "documents" with them at all times, even when hunting at their destination, AND that their weapons they bring back across the border had BETTER be the same ones they brought with them.

Another client went up there, via commercial jet, about ten years ago with a buddy for a ten-day hunt. During their second day, the Mounties showed up and "requisitioned" (???) them to help track a damn bear which had dragged a young kid out of a Scout camp during the night. Apparently, the Mounties can do such things. My client & buddy were "released" in time to make it to the airport for their return to Tennessee.

I think I'll just read National Geographic coverage of Canada for, uh, experience.
