Mr. Mark Thoma reported:

Hey volks, Yipes it turned cold in Cleveland today, 32 for the first time this season. The Vanagon ('82) is a cold and drafty mutha. It seems I can't shut off the overhead vents no matter what position the sliders on the dash are in, and yes all the cables are connected and working. Any ideas? Thoma >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Take off the front (radiator) grill. Duct tape over most of the intake for fresh air (that plastic grid at the top).

Don't cover it all. If something suddenly smells badly, it is nice to be able to use the fan and the door vents to force the smell out before she gets back in the van. :)
