I have read a few e-mails last week referring to smells in Westies. Although not from the front vent, the roof vent is another source of these phantom smells. I have changed over a hundred, and believe me, the ones all duct taped, cracked and have-seen-better-days really smell. I guess moisture gets trapped in between the layers. Also the UV rays break down the material and this releases a pungent odor. Many of my customers thought it might have been milk or food on the apolstry and were amazed what a nose-relieving difference a new skylight made. Has anyone else noticed this?
