the big unit uses 1/4 lb. an hour ... the little unit uses 1/8 lb. and hour...constant operation. One of those little camping 1 lb. bottles lasts 4 hrs. in the big one and 8 hrs. in the little one. The westy tank holds 3 gallons...i think this translates to something like 13 lbs. So with the big one you could run it constantly for 52 hours (and drive yourself from the van!) on the westy tank and with the smaller one for 104 hours. Since these have a thermostat, they likely will not be on constantly. steve
