I was under my van today. Just thought I would poke around one last time before it gets tooooo cold. I noticed a few things while reattaching my sporty refinish propane tank. First, I found a strange piece of plastic "floating" in the middle of my shift linkage. It was black plastic sitting just outside the "shift mechanism housing" (Bently 34.20). It appears to have a tab to be inserted somewhere, which would hold it in place. Second, in the center of the vanagon, the shift linkage enters into a tube. The tube had a boot on it, which has become dislodged. Is this critical? Any one know where I can find out what part number that is? Thanks for your time. Robyn 91 Syncro Westy |
