marty, I installed the same in my '84 Westfalia and gained about 2mpg avg 21. It feels like a bit more low end torque and sometimes it's tempting to stay on the gas. I noticed the biggest difference in driving style and shifting points. If I stand on it alot down goes the gas but if I keep rpms below 3500 and 3000 cruising(55-60mph) i'll average 21-25 mpg city/hwy.
