It's a very functional design, but they will not work in a non-Westy window, and are quite expensive ($49.95 each) for the flimsy pieces of plastic that they are. It's not worth trying to modify them to work in a non-Westy at that price, in my opinion. Better to fabricate something on your own. It doesn't seem it would be too difficult.
