Subject: Syncro Clutch Disk

To all syncro owners needing a new clutch, the following part number is for syncro clutch disk. It is different than for 2wd and not well known among parts suppliers. I would caution you against using a sachs due to lots of chattering problems. the number below will get you the right disk. the price difference is about $100 over a sachs 2wd, but the wrong disk is no bargain. Others may have had different experiences. I got a good german or european made disk (not a Luk, like Frank got with the same number...see below) with this number....and like a mind gone to waste, i forget the name of it. The difference between it and the sachs is extremely noticable...and no chattering...yet steve

Greetings:

The LUK clutch disk is a standard VW part, but is listed for the Synchro, not the 2WD. According to my invoice, it is part number 025141031KX.

Good luck on this.
