Subject: Water Temp Light/Gauge...

Hi everybody!

Well, I still haven't figured out what my sputtering/cutting out problem is, and unfortunately I don't have either the knowledge or the backyard it would take to go in and start going through all my wiring. The three vw mechanics I've gone to are pretty clueless in this matter, and none of you amazing vanagon home mechanic types seem to be anywhere near me in So Cal, so...I guess my next step is Electro Leon's, to see if he can help.

Meanwhile, yesterday my water temp. light started flashing and my water temp. guage started soaring up to hot before the engine had a chance even to warm up. I turned off the engine and started it back up and it was fine. No flashing light, no nothing. I drove it around and a little while later...same thing: water temp light and gauge going nuts. Went through this a few times and finally took it home and parked it. What the heck is going on?? ~Help~
